Run through the fields of time with Nelson's much-loved theatre troupe the People's Republic of Improv, and jolly well share a laugh or two along the way.
In this comedic exploration of Nelson history from multi-media annals of the long-forgotten past, our brave actors will take timeworn Nelson Mail headlines, old-fashioned advertising, disregarded objects of eras bygone-and your suggestions-to regale you with history that definitely, precisely, unquestionably (might have) happened, in Nelson.

Nelson Repertory Theatre has the feel-good hit of summer on its hands with Richard Bean's inspired and deliriously funny One Man Two Guvnors. The side-splittingly funny West End and Broadway sensation is making its Nelson Debut in March 2017!
Receiving five star reviews from all over the world One Man Two Guvnors is set in the Swingin' Sixties and the easily-confused Francis Henshall attempts to keep his two employers (local gangster Roscoe Crabbe and upper class criminal Stanley Stubbers) from meeting and learning of his dual-employment. All he needs to do is keep his two guvnors apart. Simple.

The time has come
"The time has come," the Walrus said, "To talk of many things: of shoes and ships and sealing wax; of cabbages and kings; and why the sea is boiling hot; and whether pigs have wings."
There is never enough time to do all that we want to do, but you need to make the time on Friday 29th July at 7.30pm to come to Off the Cuff: It’s Time, Nelson’s monthly improv show at the Theatre Royal.
We may not talk about shoes and ships and sealing wax or even flying pigs, but we’re sure to talk about time flying, ticking time bombs, running late, having the time of your life, wasted time, get a bit cuckoo over a cuckoo clock or simply do the Time Warp again!
This month we also have special guest Jen O’Sullivan improviser extraordinaire from Wellington giving her time to join us.
Off the Cuff: It’s Time ... Friday 29 July 7.30pm at the Theatre Royal. Bookings are available through Ticket Direct or from the Theatre Royal.

When things fall apart, he joins a men's cycling group to relieve stress - and makes a few startling discoveries in various cracks and crevices.
Achingly funny and poignant, MAMIL presents the male mid-life crisis in all its lurid glory.
