Get ready to have a night of reminiscing at this year's late 90s and early 2000s inspired dance show, Invictus. Showcasing a young cast of Nelson Tasman dancers, this hype concert of Pop and RnB throwbacks is not one to miss.

Legacy Dance Company’s Invictus features a spectacular song list of your favourite toe-tapping numbers from the world’s greatest Pop and RnB Artists, including Christina Aguilera, Cher, Britney, Carlos Santana, Ciara, Alicia Keys, Michael Jackson, Flo Rida, Pussy Cat Dolls and Justin Timberlake

Invictus is a 4-act show that will take you on a journey through the development of Pop and RnB, Choreography, Music and Costumes. Act 1 will transport you through the Birth of POP, the end of the disco sound and the inspiration it had on pop music; Act 2 sees us in the early 2000's Hip Hop era, where parachute pants and the attitude was displayed on the outside; Act 3 pays homage to the Ballads era; and Act 4 is modern pop music.

Legacy Dance Company cast are local Nelson and Tasman dancers that have dedicated time to explore, train and develop the craft as performers. Many dancers recently represented Nelson Tasman at National Level Dance competitions and events.

Our creative team, led by Okiwi Hawkins and Gemma Laing, and our cast are excited to be bringing this truly amazing show to Nelson this summer. There is something for everyone in this show for all ages.
