7.30pm - Spencer Coyle (Opening Act)
8.10pm - Mitch James

At long last, Mitch James is hitting the road this winter on his first ever global tour, including a whopping 13-date tour throughout New Zealand, his first headline shows in his homeland in four years.

Touring in celebration of his sophomore album patience, which was released last November, James has a new found determination and authenticity which is reflected throughout the record. With singles ‘Motions’ and ‘Stuck In Denial’ receiving high rotate airplay and over a million streams between them, the album explores battles and the journey he has been on since his breakout Platinum selling album MITCH JAMES.

With a world tour supporting Calum Scott under his belt in 2022, the Long Road Home Tour will see James embark on his first ever headline world tour, playing 30 dates globally including Germany, Ireland, France, Netherlands, UK, Australia and wrapping up with 13 shows across Aotearoa.

As James says, he can’t wait to get on the road and play for his fans across the world: “This is my first headline tour since 2019 and my first ever world tour. I couldn’t be more excited to get back to doing what I love with all my beautiful fans. We’re going to give it everything!”

To date, Mitch has toured the world alongside Six60, who he regards as not just friends, but mentors. The same goes for Ed Sheeran, who Mitch supported in front of 100,000 fans across three nights at Dunedin’s Forsyth Barr Stadium in March 2018.

Along with his advanced professional nous, Mitch has undergone significant personal growth since releasing the streaming hits ‘Bright Blue Skies’, ‘21’ and ‘Old News’, all of which have become fixtures of pop radio programming in New Zealand over the past four years.

OPENING ACT: Spencer Coyle
Up-and-coming artist and producer Spencer Coyle will be supporting James on all 13 dates throughout New Zealand.

From a young age, Spencer has been inspired by artists like Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber and has now developed his own unique take on pop music. As a multi-instrumentalist and a talented writer, Spencer now writes and produces his own songs. Having been discovered by SIX60’s Ji Fraser, Spencer singed with the bands label ‘Massive’ and 2022 saw Coyle release his debut single ‘Somebody To Love’ which received airplay across all major commercial stations in New Zealand. Earlier this year, Coyle released his breakout follow up ear worm ‘Castaway’ featuring Kiwi pop royalty Drax Project. Fans of James are sure to become fans of Coyle and are encouraged to get along early to catch this star on the rise.

Finding home in Sydney, Australia, their positive coastal energy pushes euphoric boundaries in their bold quest to reignite acoustic instrumentation. HPB is un-bound by genres, stages and audiences. They are re-inventive of the traditional street brass band as a modern day dance machine and visual spectacle for all demographics with a strong sense of pride for their fun-loving, organic, and quirky musical nature.

Parsons hits the road in October, and says: “It’s been a long couple of years for everyone so we’re absolutely fizzing to finally be getting back on stage sharing music with audiences again… I’m so excited about this new record and bringing it to life with the band.”

Written at Parsons’ home in Lyttelton, the record was produced at LOHO in Ōtautahi by multi-instrumentalist Josh Logan.
