Borderline Arts Ensemble - Aotearoa New Zealand
Inspired by the works of the great surrealist painters, Lobsters is a story about love itself, and the way we must peel away our shells to find our authentic selves.
Lobsters fuses invigorating contemporary dance with the eccentric and humorous story of a lobster who was once Salvador Dali's muse. She tells of her rise and fall, from celebrity artistic icon to washed-up cabaret singer, and observes with irony two young lovers (inspired by the famous painting by Renรฉ Magritte) who struggle to connect their idealized image of love with reality.
Choreographer Lucy Marinkovich, recently returning from practising in Germany, Spain, France, Croatia and Singapore, combines talents with Athens-Wellington-NYC based theatre maker Miranda Manasiadis, to bring you the athletic and visually compelling Lobsters.

What do you call six women stranded on a mountain in the rain: ridiculous! Or you could call them social climbers - but just not to their faces!
Once at the hut, not only do they unload their packs full of food, wine, and a souvenir rock; their hang-ups get unloaded as well.
Torrential rain and a flooded bridge keep them stranded for three days. What they get up to, to help pass the time, raises a few eyebrows and will have you laughing, tearing up and applauding enthusiastically as they bare all.
Of course, it's not just souls that are exposed, there's a little nudity, a cracking thunderstorm, explosions, screaming bloody murder, ghostly stories, a birthday celebration, a sรฉance, a drunken party, confessions, melt downs and revelations that will keep you and your friends entertained throughout.
Perfectly timed for your own social group's ascent into summer, don't miss this hilarious play when it comes to Nelson.
Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hip hip Hippo and, of course, those hilarious, plotting penguins as they bound onto your stage in the musical adventure of a lifetime.
Based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture, Madagascar - A Musical Adventure Jr follows all of your favourite friends as they escape from their home in New York's Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien's Madagascar.
Alex the lion is the king of the urban jungle, the main attraction at New York's Central Park Zoo. He and his best friends - Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo - have spent their whole lives in blissful captivity before an admiring public and with regular meals provided for them. Not content to leave well enough alone, Marty lets his curiosity get the better of him and makes his escape - with the help of some prodigious penguins - to explore the world.
Filled with outlandish characters, adventure galore and an upbeat score, Madagascar Jr will leave audiences with no choice but to "Move It, Move It!"

A situation like this needs a calm, firm hand: someone with insight and experience, someone like Wilson Dixon.

Tailor-made for women, The Naked Truth is the next unmissable Comedy Play from Dave Simpson, the writer of the hit comedy Girls Night Out. It is a brilliant funny play about sisterhood.
Five very different women sign up for Gabby's pole dancing class (the latest get-fit craze) at the local village hall. None of them having any idea what lies ahead and each of them having their own reasons for taking up pole dancing whether it be to restore confidence in their body, get a guy, keep a guy, lose weight or embark upon a potential new career
As their stories unfold and unravel, they share laughter and tears. However, when one of the women receives some devastating news, the others soon pull together and decide to turn their new skill into a fund-raising event. For all its frothy frivolity, this all-female play genuinely has heart and soul. It's a play for women, about women, that men must absolutely see. If they dare!
In the beginning, God created the moustache...and it was good. Then he took the next 6 days off, because when you've nailed it, treat yourself to a lie-down.
The world has had religion ever since God was in nappies, and what have we got to show for it: wars, terrorist attacks and Christian rock. It's time religion took a hard look at itself, so Chopper is starting his own one, in his own image and giving hell to the almighty.
Are you sick, lonely or poor? Well, there are plenty of other churches for you. Chopper is looking for rich idiots to tithe the crap out of; but really, any sinner will do.
There is a new 'mo-ssiah' for a new age and he's holier than Oscar Pistorius' bathroom door. Thou shalt harden up and become a Chopostle! So gather round and be healed by Bogan Jesus!

The 1997 film of "The Full Monty" stormed the box office and became the most successful British screen comedy ever, winning the Evening Standard Award for Best Film. The faithful stage adaptation won the same award in 2001 for Best Musical.
Garnering ten nominations for the 2001 Tony Awards, "The Full Monty" celebrates the renewal of self-esteem in a group of men made redundant by the closing of a steel mill. Enhanced by sharp and witty lyrics that expose more of the 'inner self' and supported by punchy modern music "The Full Monty" is a Contemporary Musical. Jazzy funky songs lead us through a colourful journey that celebrates triumph over adversity, in the most heart-warming way.
You can keep your hat on but the cast won't!
$10 from each ticket sold for the Tuesday 27 March show will be donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand Inc.
Two Black Caps batsmen with a longstanding feud are thrown together in a World Cup Cricket Final against Australia, eight wickets down, needing 67 off 52. Throw in a sledging Aussie wicketkeeper, a long suffering South African umpire, allegations of match fixing, bodyline bowling, deliberate runouts, absurd mid-pitch arguments and a TV audience of one billion people, and it's a combustible mixture threatening to explode at any time.
Somehow the run chase continues though, with the bickering duo in the middle just managing to stay in the hunt despite each thinking the other is trying to lose. But when it's revealed each of the four participants in the middle were approached by a shady 'businessman' in a Mumbai hotel room two years ago, it makes for a very interesting final few overs with the world watching on none-the-wiser.
Who is guilty, who is going to win the game, and how will they get out of this 'fix' they have gotten themselves into?
