A fun-packed concert of foot-stamping, flag-waving, party-popping, sing-along Proms music.

Your very own Nelson City Brass and conductor Chris Lawton, invite you to join Bayleys Last Night of the Proms.

It promises to be a rousing time of audience participation, as you dress in red, white & blue and promenade through our showcase of traditional favourites. Land of Hope of Glory never felt and sounded so good.

Special guest is Kiwi star Tim Beveridge, who will sing and swing his way to your heart.

Tim was one of the youngest performers to play the Phantom in Sydney, followed on the world stage in 2000 and 2002, making the finals of the BBC Voice of Musical Theatre. Since then he has sung in the Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Concert Hall, and every major venue in NZ . He has delivered seven All Black National Anthems, produced & performed concerts, recorded CDs, and starred in numerous principal musical roles including Sunset Boulevard, Jesus Christ Superstar, Les Miserables, Evita, Me and My Girl, Anything Goes, and Carousel. Prom Packs of hooters, poppers and flags will be on sale for $3, and complimentary to the first 50 tickets sold.

Winner of the "Best Country Music Album' at the recent New Zealand Country Music Awards, with a soulful voice straight from the golden age of country and rockabilly, Tami Nelson has been described as "A red-hot honky-tonker', somewhere between Patsy Cline and Wanda Jackson with perhaps just a little big of Peggy Lee sophistication.

A line up for Nelson's best musicians is getting behind fellow muso Suzi Fray in a fundraising variety concert to support her overseas cancer treatment.

Concert organiser Pete Rainey said the Nelson musical community wanted to help and was doing what it did best - play music!

The amazing line up includes The Johnnys, Django Schmango, Mojo Funk Orchestra, Ryan Behre in Funkin' Slo Cuts, The Immigrants and more!

After spending the last few months touring across the USA as special guests of Sam Smith, next February Broods will return home for their biggest New Zealand tour to date; taking in six major centres and performing to all age crowds everywhere!

This year's breakout headline tour sold out at lightning speed and further shows had to be added to meet public demand. This time Caleb and Georgia Nott AKA Broods will bring their outstanding show to Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, New Plymouth, Auckland and Hamilton.

The duos' career to date has been fast paced and high impact. Debut album Evergreen was released in August and included massive hits 'Bridges', 'Never Gonna Change', 'Mother & Father' and brand new single 'L.A.F'. Produced by prominent New Zealander Joel Little, the album went straight to #1 on the NZ Top 40, Top 5 in Australia and Top 40 on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts and cemented Broods as ones to watch.

They've also toured with the likes of Ellie Goulding, HAIM, CHVRCHES and there are more overseas dates to be announced. Performing live is where Broods have found their natural home "Touring has made us realise how important it is to not just be yourself, but to back yourself." Georgia says. "If you're not being true, you'll never stand out." Over an ever-growing itinerary of performances across the globe the bands' sound and light show has become crucial. They've had to learn how to dance like no-one is watching and sing like no-one is listening "We've loosened up a lot," says Caleb "We're in the moment and we're focussed on making it special every time."
