    KAHA 2013 features an updated programme; Artistic director Moss Patterson presents three pieces MOKO, and two shorter works, HAKA, commanding audiences as the powerful opener and TE PAKI a trio exploring the rhythm of the sea. NEW work PAARUA (‘Double Contact’) is an adrenalin-saturated and humorous dance choreographed by Nancy Wijohn that explores competitive strategies and sporting tactics. Kelly Nash’s quirky and incisive new work INDIGENARCHY and POU RAKAU, choreographed by Gaby Thomas fuses contemporary dance with traditional Maori song and stick game. Completing the programme is the popular Atamira take on “Poi E Thriller”; as made famous by the Taika Waititi hit Boy – choreographed by long-standing Atamira member Dolina Wehipeihana this mash-up of kapa haka and Michael Jackson moves is a catchy toe-tapper! POI E!
