New Zealand's only traditional Irish music festival presents the showcase concert for 2014. Headlined by the talented Mulcahy family direct from Ireland (exclusively for this festival), the concert features all the guest tutors for the festival.

The Mulcahy family from Abbeyfeale, Ireland are All Ireland winning exponents of the highest quality traditional Irish dance music. Led by Mick Mulcahy, a well-known button accordion player joined by daughters Louise (flute) and Michelle (fiddle, concertina and concert harp), the family has garnered fame in their native country and now offer their entralling music to the world. Famous in Irish music circles for a rare repertoire of old tunes played in a highly distinctive style, these "pure" traditional musicians are a rare treat for a New Zealand audience.

"For those who really know their traditional music, The Mulcahy Family must rank as one of the most impressive musical families in Ireland today." - Martin Hayes, from the sleeve notes of "Reelin' in Tradition"

"If you like the 'pure drop', here it is - traditional Irish music at its natural, unadulterated and most seductive best" - The Irish Times

They are joined by Luke Plumb on Mandolin from Australia, a member of the well know celtic fusion band Shooglenifty and reknowed world wide as both a mandolin player and composer. New Zealand folk Music "Tui" award winning musicians Bob McNeill on Guitar and Brendyn Montgomery on Whistle and Barry MacDonald on Piano Accordion round out this years concert lineup. A night not to be missed for lovers of Irish music. Expect a delightful night of "craic" and toe tapping tunes from all the artists and some great orginal songs from singer/songwriter Bob McNiell.

Last years concert sold out so be in quick to avoid disappointment.
