    The Learning calendar of seasons

     Spring – Koanga

    An exciting time, full of new life and growth. A time for exploring…What changes around us each season? Children are encouraged tovalue inquiry and curiosity, and think reflectively about the changes each season brings.

     Summer – Raumati

    Long hot days and holidays in the sun. It’s time to relax and enjoy…The natural world is full of wonder, with much to feed a rich imagination. Seasons encourages everyone to respect and care for their environment.

     Autumn – Ngahuru

    A very visual season, with distinctive colours. A time for looking closely at what’s around you. The production encourages children to value ecological sustainability and the uniqueness of our environment.

     Winter – Hotoke

    Stark and vivid images. It’s time to stay indoors. A good time forthinking… Seasons encourages children to use creative and critical thinking to make sense of the Earth’s seasons and life cycles of animals.
