Purple Cake Day supported by the WOW & Classic Cars Museum invites you to the screening of the multi-award winning film by Jennifer Arnold, 'A Small Act'. Proceeds from the film support the Kenyan charity featured in the film, the Hilde Back Education Fund, along with children's education initiatives in Haiti and Nepal.
A Small Act is a compelling story of how one small act can change lives. The feature-length documentary follows the intersecting lives of a Holocaust survivor in Sweden, the Kenyan man whose education she funded and three hard-working, endearing children from poor families in rural Kenya.
'A Small Act' is one of those films that will remain with you long after the credits have rolled - it's truly inspirational!. You get to meet and learn about the lives of children who are eager to learn, who aspire and are capable to become doctors, engineers, teachers, pilots, researchers and leaders. Without an education they have no future, but with a little help they get the opportunity to go to school and this changes not only their lives but that of their families and communities. There are things we can do and should do to help children born into poverty.
