A musical treat from the talented young students of Off Broadway Performing Arts School, celebrated for their recent sell-out performances of Next to Normal and Rent. Pushing the boundaries of theatre under Director Tami Mansfield’s expertise, they will leave you thinking, questioning and wanting more!

It’s all in the name….sit back and be entertained by homegrown talent including Simon Williams, Trudi Wilson and the fabulous Stella Nova choir.  The show that will make you proud to be a Nelsonian.

Buster delivers his usual repertoire of charming chaos in Go West (1925) as ‘Friendless’, a young vagabond heading west in search of his fortune, accompanied by an unlikely leading lady on screen and the nimble fingered Gabor Tolnay on piano.

Oscar, Tony & Friends

Come and join in the vintage fun with a star-studded set of hits from the Oscar and Tony Awards....brought to you by scintillating Drag Queens Phyllis, Shona & friends, and the zany Boathouse Community Choir.  Move over Liberace!

Ripple Effect: Written by Gareth Farr & performed by Farr Out

New Zealand’s own composer of cool is flying in to the shire to premier a specially commissioned work, ‘Ripple Effect’.  Set to crescendo at the stroke of midnight, this world premier will make you make you glad you stayed up late!

Be prepared in all your floss and finery for this extravaganza.  Buz Bryant Green flies in from China and shines a light on our Steinway, delivering a myriad of colour and character.  Also featuring violinist John Thompson and baritone Robert Tucker, this is a musical feast of local, national and international stars.  Two hands, four hands, six hands, eight hands!  What can’t this Steinway do?? A not-to-be-missed musical bonanza!!
