Full marks to Hugh Neill, Jane Winter, the entire cast and production team for a truly wonderful show. In addition, aren’t we so lucky to have this wonderful theatre, refurbished to this excellent standard, so that this quality of show can be so proudly presented? Congratulations to all involved.

Moving Story ‘right up there’

Sir, I have been to many Nelson productions over the past 25 years. Blood Brothers is ‘right up there’ – a moving story, fascinating singing and a wonderful performance. I shed a wee tear as we gave them a standing ovation. Congratulations to the superb cast, band and production team. We Nelsonians are so lucky to have the new Theatre Royal and shows of this standard. Don’t miss it.

The reviews are right

Sir, I know I am repeating what the reviews have already expressed about Theatre Alive’s Blood Brothers, but if their rendition has been staged on the West End or Broadway as it was last Friday night at the Theatre Royal, it would have got the same standing ovation that we delivered. End of story.
